Raised in Tehran (Iran), Mujan Hosseinzadeh graduated from Tehran Conservaotry of Music. In 2003 she moved to Italy where she completed her Master degree in viola performance and viola pedagogy at the Florence Conservatory of Music. She is a recipient of the scholarship by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After finishing her study in Italy she also got her Professional Studies degree an held conducting courses at Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano (Switzerland). As the winner of a scholarship, she moved to New York to continue her studies at Manhattan School of Music and her Doctorate Degree at the Stony Brook University. Performing publicly from an early age, she was the winner of various competitions in Italy, and immediately began a rigorous schedule of concert activity, with performances throughout Europe, Asia and recently the United States, both as a soloist and chamber musician. She has attended various renowned festivals , including the ''Accademia Russa di Alto Perfezionamento'' in Portogruaro (Italy) and the ''Accademia Musicale Chigiana'' of Siena. In addition, she has studied in masterclasses with many of the greatest violists of the current age, including Yuri Bashmet, Bruno Giuranna, Lawrence Dutton, Yuval Gotlibovich, Ettore Causa and Danilo Rossi.

She has performed under the direction of many famous conductors with various orchestras, including the Orchestral Academy of the ''Teatro alla Scala di Milano'' and the '' Philharmonic Orchestra of Turin'' both as principal viola, ''Arena di Verona Orchestra'' as viola tutti, ''Orchestra da Camera di Genova'' as a soloist , New England Symphonic Ensemble and the ''New York Symphonic Ensemble'' where she has been working since 2012 playing in the most famous concert halls in major cities in Japan. She has been working with conductors including, Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Daniele Gatti, Ottavio Dantone and Jeffrey Milarsky.

The concert halls she has performed in Italy include La Scala theatre of Milan, Parco della Musica of Rome, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Concert hall, Verdi theatre of Florence, Ancient theatre of Taormina, Romano theatre of Fiesole, Bargello National Museum of Florence and Galleria dell'Accademia of Florence. In the United States ,she has performed in Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Symphony Space Concert Hall, W.M.P Concert Hall and Staller Center for the Arts. Currently she is working on her Doctorate Degree at the Stony Brook University.
