2025 marks the
30th Anniversary of Musical Treasures from Bulgaria
Founded in 1995 by renowned pianist and pedagogue Prof. Pavlina Dokovska and the St. Cyril and St. Methodius International Foundation, Musical Treasures from Bulgaria has provided a podium for New York debuts of more than sixty young Bulgarian musicians, many of whom have gone on to receive international recognition. Now in its 30th edition, the annual concert has seen exciting performances by many of the leading Bulgarian and international classical musicians today, including Bella Hristova, Mila Georgieva, Hristo Tanev, Anna Stoytcheva, Diliana Momchilova and Lora Tchekoratova and, in more recent years, Zlatomir Fung, Lora Al-Ahmad, Alexandrina Boyanova, Stanichka Dimitrova and Georgi Lekov. In 2025 the annual event grew into a monthly concert series, organized by Musical Treasures alumni in collaboration with the American Foundation for Bulgaria and the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria.
