Caitlin Sullivan


Cellist Caitlin Sullivan is a performer of classical and contemporary music based in New York City. In 2019, she released her solo debut album, A Page From, on the New Amsterdam label, featuring some new works written for her by several of today’s leading composers. As an established chamber and orchestral musician, Ms. Sullivan is a member of the adventurous ensemble The Knights, with whom she has performed with extensively in the US and Europe.

While a member of the chamber music collective Decoda, Ms. Sullivan performed a wide range of chamber music throughout the US, UK, Mexico and Japan, curated multi-media chamber music performances “Line and Expression” and “Musical Portraits” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and led many educational performances across the US. Ms. Sullivan performs often in the cello section of the New York Philharmonic as a substitute player. A frequent collaborator with her husband, film composer Nicholas Britell, her playing has been featured on several of his film and TV scores including “If Beale Street Could Talk,”“Succession” and “She Said.”
